This new 112,000 square foot Educational Technology Campus is going to be submitted for LEED Gold Certification and is planned to be one of the most energy efficient, sustainability designed and environmentally friendly complexes in the state of Nevada. This facility features the Clark County School District’s Virtual High School and Educational Media Center as well as Homeland Security and Emergency Response support system and all Vegas PBS departments.
This facility features five uninterruptable power supplies (the largest of which is 500kva) and a 2,500 KW generator set with accompanying automatic transfer switches. A metering kiosk management system was implemented in order to meet LEED standards. There are six studios to assist in training and production that are complete with dimming and lighting controls. This building also includes fire alarm, card access, intrusion detection, CCTV, intercom, clock systems and telecom low voltage systems. The building is fed with a 4,000 amp 480 volt 3 phase system.
